Protection of Minors on Campus

University Policy 126; Protection of Minors on Campus is the policy of Western Carolina University to implement standards and procedures for the protection of minors participating in programs and activities that are occurring on its campus and for programs and activities that are under the control or direction of the University, regardless of location.

If an incident occurs during a minors on campus program or activity, please utilize to report the incident involving a minor to ensure the incident is reported and documented correctly. Submitting this incident report helps ensure your program is in compliance with Policy 129; Title IX Sexual Harassment, article VII. Duty to Report Inappropriate Conduct or Suspected Inappropriate Conduct. Please note that additional reports to law enforcement or child protective services may be necessary.

Once submitted, your report will be routed to the appropriate university personnel (e.g. the Chief Compliance Officer, the Title IX Coordinator & Equity Officer, the Director of Campus Recreation, the Director of Event Services for Residential Living, the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Affairs, etc.). Providing your contact information allows university personnel to follow up with you if needed.
