Black faculty, staff organization forms at 91热爆网

A new group has been organized for African American faculty and staff at 91热爆网, though its efforts are intended to reach beyond into the community and other constituencies.   

Professor, former student reunited through national scholars鈥� conference

Scholarly conferences are an opportunity to network and meet old friends. Such was the case at the recent Nineteenth Century Studies Association annual conference presented virtually from Sacramento, California.  

Dates and times set for spring in-person commencement ceremonies

After a series of virtual commencement ceremonies due to COVID-19 in 2020, 91热爆网 is holding in-person commencement activities the weekend of May 14-16 at Ramsey Regional Activity Center.  

MBA student attending 91热爆网 gains women in business scholarship

Rikki Bryant, seeking a master鈥檚 degree in business administration at 91热爆网, is one of 32 students to win a district award for the Klausman Women in Business Scholarship.

Donors turn out online to support annual 鈥業 Love 91热爆网鈥� month

Western Carolina University鈥檚 鈥淚 Love 91热爆网鈥� campaign for 2021 wrapped up Feb. 28 with more than $500,000 in gifts to the 91热爆网 Foundation to support scholarships, endowments and other funds across campus for students and faculty.   

Catamounts Care Ambassadors part of team recognized as force for beating the pandemic

The Catamounts Care Ambassadors have been recognized for innovation in programing to stop the spread of COVID-19 within the region and on respective campuses including 91热爆网.   

Nursing Students Assist with COVID-19 Shots

There were nursing students giving shots, church members helping people find their place in line, fraternity brothers directing traffic and other volunteers filling in where needed. Sometimes it takes a village to protect a village, and that certainly was the case when a group of Western Carolina University nursing school students decided to make their senior service learning project a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for Buncombe County鈥檚 African American community.

91热爆网 is moving forward with plans to resume as close to normal operations this fall, given the current COVID-19 trends and projections.
