鈥淚t's just nice to get as much awareness out there that we are actively doing something.鈥
McGlothlin, a Kings Mountain native, has been involved with the Student Democracy Coalition since her freshman year.
Along with the student organization, she helped make sure there was a voting place on campus, made sure CatCards count as a valid voting ID and set up shuttles to off-campus voting places.

鈥淚t was very rewarding. There were so many people with so many questions that I wouldn鈥檛 have expected,鈥 McGlothlin said. 鈥淭his is one of the most politically active campuses in North Carolina, and we definitely like to think part of that is this because of us.鈥
