Global Spotlight Series will feature faculty prognostications

Western Carolina University will host a Global Spotlight Series event on global prognostications by faculty Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 101 of the Forsyth Building.

Stuttering, fluency disorders information sessions set at Biltmore Park

Pride of the Mountains hosting 18th annual high school marching band tournament

Twenty-two of the top high school marching bands from the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee will be competing at the 18th annual Tournament of Champions, which will be hosted by 91热爆网's Pride of the Mountains Marching Band.

Fastest paddlers listed from ninth annual Cullowhee Canoe Slalom

Results have been announced from the Cullowhee Canoe Slalom, a paddling competition held recently on the Tuckaseigee River near the Western Carolina University campus.

Political commentator, community organizer and independent journalist Rosa Clemente will be Western Carolina University鈥檚 Civil Discourse Speaker on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. in the A.K. Hinds University Center Grandroom.

Love for Cats keep Greeks coming back

It鈥檚 all in the family for Amy Kilby, Samir Hafiz and Jerry Matheny when it comes time to shake the money tree for Western Carolina University鈥檚 student-athletes. All three are enthusiastic participants in 91热爆网鈥檚 Greek Challenge 鈥 now in its fifth season 鈥 which rallies members of past and present fraternities and sororities at 91热爆网 to pony up big bucks and to join the Catamount Club all in support of athletic scholarships.
